As a women-owned shop, Rose Stem Tattoo is an exclusive and private studio, where our artists prioritize cleanliness, professionalism and respect. When you book with the artists of Rose Stem Tattoo, it is nothing short of celebrity treatment. During your appointment, you are the sole focus of your artist, without the loud hustle and bustle of a traditional tattoo shop. Our artists excel in their respective specialties and create a welcoming environment. Rose Stem Tattoo is for the first timers, the old timers and everyone in between. Book your appointment with us today!
Our shop is a private studio located at 28271 Newhall Ranch Rd. Suite #9 INSIDE Salon Studios, directly next to Menchies. Although our shop is open to the public, our doors automatically lock so please call ahead or email us to inquire about getting tattooed.
Due to the amount of requests we receive, the artists’ schedules and because we are a private studio, consultations are via email only.
Through years of experience, we have found that the best way to communicate and have a productive consultation is via email. This keeps everything in writing, which helps keep everyone on the same page throughout the booking process. You may easily reach us at any time via email with any questions.
We are appointment only. Please call the shop ahead of time or email us to inquire about artist availability.
Our shop minimum is $150 for any single design under 2 inches (exclusions may apply). Pricing varies per artist.
We are a tattoo-only shop! Feel free to look online for professionally licensed piercers.
We do not sell any tattooing materials. For the safety of both the community and yourself, please follow proper protocol prior to tattooing yourself and others. Research apprenticeships or tattoo school if this is a career choice you’d like to take! A licensed artist is a SAFE artist.
Through years of experience, our artists are experts at working with all skin types and have had clients ranging from 18 to 80. If you are nervous about the process, our artists will always walk you through it and explain to you how everything works.
California law prohibits anyone under the age of 18 to get tattooed, regardless of parental consent. We require a government issued ID when booking an appointment and do not make any exceptions whatsoever.
Rose Stem Tattoo accepts cash payments the day of your appointment (please check with your artist for alternative payment methods). Venmo is for deposits only.
Although we love having guests, our studio is very limited when it comes to space. We do ask if you need to bring someone who will be waiting for you that they wait in the waiting area located directly outside our studio. For the safety and privacy of both our clients and artists, only those getting tattooed are allowed inside the studio during the appointment. Children are not allowed. There are no exceptions.
Make sure to get plenty of rest the night before. On the day of your appointment, eat a hearty meal and avoid alcohol consumption as much as possible prior to your scheduled appointment. We recommend wearing loose fitting clothing and clothing appropriate to the area you’re getting tattooed. If you’re nervous, feel free to bring headphones to listen to music, or a small blanket in case you get cold easily.
Please ask your artist before your appointment about the use of numbing cream. Everyone’s preferences vary but it’s always best to see what their recommendation would be!
PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT SOME NUMBING CREAMS CONTAIN EPINEPHRINE, WHICH CAN AFFECT YOUR HEART RATE WITH THE CONSUMPTION OF CAFFEINATED PRODUCTS. PLEASE AVOID CAFFEINATED LIQUIDS/FOODS WHEN APPLYING CREAM ON THE SAME DAY.
We always advise not to get a tattoo if you’re feeling under the weather. Often times, getting a tattoo while being sick lengthens the healing process and puts yourself as well as the artist and others at risk for the spread of germs. Please make sure to communicate with your artist if you’re not feeling well. It’s always best to reschedule.
Check out our home page for our artist portfolios. From there, you can select the artist of your choice and book with them directly on their portfolio page.
This all depends on your style choice. Although our artists are comfortable with various styles of art, they do excel in their own individual styles. Our best recommendation would be to check out our main website page or Instagram for artist portfolios. If there’s a style that catches your eye or fits best with what you’re looking to get, please include that information when inquiring!
The sooner the better! Feel free to contact us about availability and to learn more about how to book.
We do get a high number of inquiries and our artists are not always able to accommodate every request. Priority requests are selected on the basis of each artist’s respective style. Our artists do prioritize larger scale projects, but will take on smaller designs based on their availability and the style of the design. Please make sure to do research when booking an artist and check out their preferred style.
The booking deposit is a non-refundable payment that secures your appointment slot and assures the artists that you are committed to showing up to your scheduled appointment.
Pricing varies per artist. There are a number of factors to consider when quoted for a tattoo, such as the location, professionalism, cleanliness of the shop, as well as the artist’s knowledge and quality of work. There’s an old saying that goes, “Good tattoos aren’t cheap and cheap tattoos aren’t good.” Please keep in mind that a tattoo is something you will carry with you for a lifetime.
The artists do not send their designs prior to your appointment due to several factors, such as copyright infringement and the avoidance of outside influence (your style choice may not be in the same taste as a friend or family member).
Make sure to do your research when booking an artist. See their style preference and portfolio for examples of what you’re looking to get done.
It all depends on a number of factors. Detail, size and placement of your tattoo matters greatly. You’re more than welcome to ask for an estimated timeframe, but it’s best not to make plans immediately after your tattoo. Rushing is never good for the best tattoo results.
Unfortunately, touch ups are not free and are subject to charges as designated by each individual artist.
